Founder of Girls in Tech Bayelsa Inducted into Niger Delta Gender Champions Hall of Fame

The Girls in Tech Bayelsa community proudly celebrates the Founder of Girls in Tech Bayelsa Ms. Teresa Briseimo on her recognition by the Dise Ogbise Foundation and the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education, culminating in her induction into the Niger Delta Gender Champions Hall of Fame as a Gender Champion on October 9, 2026.

This recognition represents an important milestone in her commitment to gender equality, girls’ empowerment, and the promotion of inclusive opportunities in technology and innovation.

Through Girls in Tech Bayelsa, Ms. Teresa has championed the importance of equipping girls with the knowledge, digital skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to participate meaningfully in the technology ecosystem. Her vision reflects the belief that every girl deserves access to the resources and support required to explore her potential, develop her talents, and contribute to the digital future.

Her induction into the Niger Delta Gender Champions Hall of Fame highlights the importance of sustained advocacy, inclusive leadership, and initiatives that promote equal opportunities for girls and women. It also reinforces the need to continue creating pathways for young girls to engage in science, technology, innovation, and other fields where their contributions can make a lasting difference.

Beyond the honour itself, this achievement serves as an encouragement to the Girls in Tech Bayelsa community and to everyone working to advance gender equality and digital inclusion across the Niger Delta.

As we celebrate this milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the next generation of female innovators, technology professionals, and leaders.

Congratulations to our beloved Founder on this well-deserved recognition.
