Young designers put their skills to the test in an engaging one-hour virtual session
Nibi’s Tech for Kids and Teens recently hosted a one-hour virtual Canva design class, bringing in Teresa Briseimo _Founder, Girls In Tech Initiative Bayelsa as a guest instructor to introduce young learners to the world of digital design on Thursday, 28th May, 2026.
The session proved to be an energetic and rewarding experience for both the instructor and participants. Rather than passively absorbing instruction, students actively applied each concept in real time by designing alongside the lesson as it unfolded.

At the close of the session, participants showcased their work by sharing their screens for live feedback and review. The standout designer among the group was awarded a cash prize, adding a fun and competitive edge to the learning experience.
“Teaching kids and teenagers how to design in Canva was a thing of joy,” said Ms Briseimo “I greatly enjoyed every moment of the session.”
The class reflects Nibi’s Tech’s continued commitment to equipping young people with relevant digital skills, and underscores the growing importance of design literacy for the next generation.
